It's an almond-hazelnut cookie... not quite sure what it has to do with S.F.
La Boulange is in expansion mode, and as we discussed earlier, the first of their new locations — in the former Loehman's space at 222 Sutter Street — is right off of Union Square. They opened a week early, just yesterday, and the new, urban location features a display case dedicated to their Macarons de Paris and their new Macaron de San Francisco (pictured) — a flourless almond-hazelnut cookie that pairs well with coffee, tea, or wine. The rest of the story is much like the bakery-cafe's thirteen other Bay Area locations, with breakfast dishes and a few new sandwich options at lunch.
