Not-So-Hopelessly Delayed

Biergarten Might Make It Open for Oktoberfest, Might Not

A quick update on the Suppenkuche’s al fresco boozing outlet along Octavia in Hayes Valley: Biergarten, which we last reported was slated for a summer opening, has faced a series of the usual city hurdles that have kept its official opening date up in the air. Says a rep from the restaurant, “There have been a whole lot of flaming hoops and a lot of extra poodles to make jump through them.” The official word on the opening at this point is “sometime this year,” though the team would love to be open while there’s still Oktoberfest to celebrate (Suppenkuche started their festivities over the weekend), or some warm weather to bask in. See a few construction photos here, and stay tuned. [Grub Street, Earlier]
