Help AQ Restaurant Get Off the Ground, Get Your Name Engraved On the Wall

Kickstarter: It’s all the rage. Even fledgling restaurants like the upcoming AQ in SoMa (see earlier details here) could use a little help from their friends and from armchair restaurant investors who might like to get in on the ground floor with a place without putting too much cash down. First-time restaurateur Matt Semmelhack and former La Folie chef Mark Liberman submit this handsome, hi-def video in which they talk about their vision for the restaurant, and ask for contributions to help them with the final costs before opening. They’re aiming for an early October debut, and if you pledge 25 bucks or more, you’ll have your name permanently engraved on one of the bricks on the restaurant’s walls!

Below, their appeal. They’re about one fifth of the way to their goal of $25K by the end of September.
