Bon App Blogger Pens Anti-Yelp Screed

“I used to use Yelp because I believed in the wisdom of crowds. Those days are over. Every time I look at the site, I find a restaurant with a low star rating only to read reviews like ‘I hate this place. They didn’t give me my meal for free when I told them I found a really large pea in my order of peas.’ It’s the equivalent of trusting your crackpot neighbor when he tells you to abandon your house because the invasion is about to begin. Yelp has become a breeding ground for crackpot neighbors and, for some reason, I totally let them fool me sometimes. Not anymore.” — BA Daily scribe Jason Kessler, who admits he’s a little slow to be getting on the anti-Yelp bandwagon. [Bon App, Earlier]
