Some days we really feel for the vegans. We do. This is one of those days as 7x7 takes a shot at compiling a "50 Vegetarian (or Vegan) Things to Eat Before You Die in S.F." list — a supplement to the mag's annually updated Big Eat list of 100 items to eat "before you die" — and it's packed with some pretty boring stuff! Talk about lowered expectations! A bunch of sandwiches, like the Peg Bundy at Ike's; several burritos; a couple of veggie burgers; the butter lettuce salad at Bistro Aix... If you were vegetarian/vegan and were told you only had, say, a year to live, would you give up being vegan? At least long enough to go back to eating bacon or have one last cheeseburger? We sure would. [7x7]
