Popular Castro burger joint Super Duper just became a chain, ladies and gentlemen, as their second outpost at 721 Market Street officially opened today. There was a lengthy line during the prime lunch hour, but things had quieted down a bit by 2 p.m., with only an estimated 20 minutes between lining up and receiving your burger. The space is about three times the size of the original location, with seating available on an upstairs mezzanine as well. And, of course, there are plenty of homemade pickles. Take note, though, there's no beer or wine just yet.
Marin residents and those en route to and from wine country should look for Super Duper #3 to pop up in Mill Valley (430 Miller Avenue) by late summer.
Super Duper - 721 Market Street between Third and Fourth - 415.538.3437 - Open 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
