We mentioned earlier that fancy liquor purveyors John Walker & Co. (175 Sutter) had been shut down amid some rumored ABC trouble, and today Eater catches wind that their license was actually suspended due to their second bust for selling to a minor. We’re not sure why this place should have been the target of an ABC sting (assuming that’s what happened) given that we don’t know a lot of minors who would try to buy their Colt 45 Blast at such a staid Financial District institution that sells Cynar and two dozen kinds of bitters. But anyway, the suspension is only through July 10, at which point they should reopen, despite Eater’s ominous tone. [Eater]
