Jardinière Offers Off-Menu ‘Blue Light Specials’; Bamboo Asia Opens Next Week; Lucky Horseshoe Opens

Civic Center: Jardinière is going to be offering Blue Light Specials, one for each night of the week (more like “blue plate specials,” we’d say) which will be off-menu and which they’re cheekily calling “La Lumière Bleue Spéciale.” They’ll be available July and August, for $24.99 according to this schedule: Tuesday - porchetta; Wednesday - fried chicken; Thursday - cassoulet; Friday - cioppino; Saturday - prime rib; Sunday - pork ribs. [Grub Street]
FiDi: Bamboo Asia (41 Montgomery Street) is set to open July 7, serving Japanese, Indian, and Vietnamese food, all under $8. [Eater]
Hayes Valley: The macaron shop previously known as Paulette has reopened under the new name, Chantal Guillon. They still sell macarons. [Feast]

Bernal Heights: The Lucky Horseshoe (453 Cortland Avenue), the replacement for Skip’s Tavern, opens today at 4 p.m., just in time for the Giants’ game. [Bernalwood]
Woodside: Midway through the year and ‘tis the season for chef shuffles again. Zack Freitas is the latest, and he has left his post at Station 1, despite having just earned three stars from the Chon. [Scoop]
