What to Eat at Ki, Opening Tomorrow in SoMa

We mentioned last month that Ki, a new sustainable sushi bar and izakaya, was headed to the Zen Compound (540 Howard) that is also home to Temple nightclub, and tomorrow marks its opening night. We’ve got the full menu for you from chef Brian Beach (Aqua, Waterbar), which includes a bunch of yakitori (chicken skewers), kushiyaki (other skewers), some standard maki and nigiri, as well as some more fusion-y small plates, like fresh ramen noodles with Thai basil, Early girl tomatoes, green garlic, and parmesan “umami dashi.”

Also of note, they have a full liquor license and a few signature cocktails in addition to the sake menu, and Tuesday through Friday they’ll have The Happiest Hours from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. featuring bottomless soju sangria and special bar bites.

Menus subject to change.
