Frances Now Offering House Rosé By the Ounce

Rosé can be really good, you know that right? It was all the rage in the NYT a few years back, and it’s ideal for these balmy S.F. days we’re having. Thus we’re happy to inform you that in addition to the house white and red on tap that Frances offers at a dollar an ounce (a system the NYT also showed some love for), they’ve now got a house rosé. It’s a 2009 saignée of Syrah, which means it comes from the juice that was “bled” off of a batch of Syrah in order to make the red wine darker. We can’t yet tell you if it’s good, but it’ll be on tap all summer. [Grub Street]
