No Really, Medjool Is On the Market

There was a little hemming and hawing back in January about Gus Murad’s reportedly putting Medjool and the hostel it lives below (and atop) up for sale, but the Business Times confirms today that the whole shebang is on the market, and the price tag is $7.25 million. Realtor Colleen Meharry started rumors rolling when she said Murad was in talks with “a big group from New York” to take and restore the New Mission Theater, and it’s unclear where those plans have gone. (Brooklyn Bowl was rumored to have their eyes on this stretch of Mission, but that deal has apparently fallen through, if there ever was one.) Giant Value, on the same block, which Murad also owned, sold last month to a condo developer. Medjool remains open indefinitely, but stay tuned as more unfolds on the 2500 block of Mission.
