Right next door to Atelier Crenn, in what was formerly a tattoo parlor, is Pe Yale (3131 Fillmore), a new wine bar with a small food menu that just opened its doors last weekend. The name means "a glass of wine" in Farsi, and in addition to an extensive international wine list (not yet online), they have a bar-bite menu which includes some typically wine-friendly snacks like bruschetta, olives, and an artisan cheese plate. Check out the dark and inviting interior, and stop in for a Syrah if you're in the 'hood.
