Emporio Rulli Folks to Dominate Both Sides of Union Square

Gary Rulli (Ristobar, Emporio Rulli), who already operates an Emporio Rulli Café out of that small building on east side of Union Square (333 Post), has his sights set on the structure on the opposite side of the park too. Grub Street finds today that he's filed a liquor license app for something called Bancarella at 350 Powell Street, otherwise known as that discount ticket booth building which has also been home to a Sees Candies shop. Sounds like Sees would be closing, and is there Ristobar-like pizza in Union Square's future? One can only dream (and there's probably no room for an oven in there). [Grub Street]
