Coupon FAIL: Three Sonoma Restaurants Called Farmhouse Cause Confusion For Bargain Hunters

An amusing bit from BiteClub Eats this a.m. regarding some coupons issued by Farmhouse Restaurant in Santa Rosa, a diner-like establishment that specializes in breakfast and was recently offering a buy-one-get-one-half-off entrée coupon. A number of confused diners have shown up at the Michelin-starred Farmhouse Inn in Forestville trying to cash in said coupons, and owner Catherine Bartolomei is having none of it. To make matters worse, patrons who do know about the second Farmhouse in Santa Rosa (both restaurants come up if you Google “Farmhouse Santa Rosa”) have been asking Bartolomei when she decided to expand into the diner business. And to make things triply confusing, the people who own the Santa Rosa spot have had a place in Sebastopol called Farmhouse for nineteen years. We foresee this confusion going on for a while, unless someone tries to lay claim to the word “farmhouse.”
