Empire Building

An Update on Tacolicious, and Their Plans for Mission Expansion

Marina taco purveyors Tacolicious, as we discussed earlier, have their sights set on a spot in the former New College complex at 741 Valencia. Tomorrow they go before Planning to get approval for converting the former one-story office building to a restaurant, and for their planned outdoor seating area. You’ll recall that Jack Knowles (À Côté) is also at work transforming the big green New College building into Chapel Restaurant, the Second Line Café, and Preservation Hall West — a large undertaking that’s due sometime next year. Given that they’re only now on Planning’s agenda, Tacolicious’ earlier goal of opening on Valencia by early summer sounds ambitious, but stay tuned until we hear more. [Grub Street, Earlier]
