Chef Gregory Dunmore (formerly of Ame) opens his first solo restaurant, Nojo, this evening at 231 Franklin Street (near Hayes). It’s an izakaya-type concept with a focus on yakitori (chicken and other grilled skewers), with a hefty beer, wine and sake list, plenty of counter seating, and a casual vibe. We showed you the menu on Monday, and today we bring you some pictures. And late-night snackers who, say, stumble out of Smuggler’s Cove after an evening’s Tiki excursion, should know that Nojo will be serving until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Nojo - 231 Franklin Street, San Francisco - 415.896.4587 - Opening Wednesday, March 30. Regular hours: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday 5 to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday, 5 to 11 p.m., closed Tuesdays.
