Chef Charlie Palmer's now in his sixth year hosting Pigs & Pinot at Dry Creek Kitchen and the Hotel Healdsburg, and the event a benefit for Share Our Strength and Healdsburg schools has a serious base of fans who gobbled up whatever tickets there were within minutes of them going on sale this year a kind of rabid enthusiasm and point-and-click fervor usually reserved for Ticketmaster when Prince is in town. It was a wet and chilly weekend in Healdsburg, but for a lucky couple hundred Pinot lovers there was much warming to be had via the 50 different Pinot Noirs available to taste as part of the Pinot Cup competition on Friday, as well as small dishes from the likes of Nancy Oakes, Bryan Voltaggio, and Marc Forgione. See a bit of what you missed via our slideshow, and get your clicking finger (and stomach) in shape for next year.
