Pollo Campero Moves Forward, Kasa Closes Their Cow Hollow Spot, and More

Mission: Guatemalan fried chicken chain Pollo Campero is in fact looking to move into 2740 Mission Street, a former Payless Shoe Source, as was earlier rumored. They go before Planning on Thursday for their conditional use permit. [Grub Street]

Castro: Marcello’s Pizza is closed, at least for the day, for some electrical repairs. [Grub Street]

Cow Hollow: We’d heard late last year that Kasa’s Fillmore Street location was up for grabs, since the second location had never really taken off the way the Castro branch has. Now it’s officially closed, but they’ll be popping up every Thursday this month with a $20 prix fixe at The Corner. [Scoop]

Dogpatch: Serpentine has started serving on Monday nights; in other Dogpatch news, Recchiuiti Chocolates is opening a chocolate shop/café in the Piccino (1001 Minnesota) space later this year, after Piccino relocates. [Tablehopper, SFoodie]

Civic Center: Lunch Geek has moved across the street, into the Cafico space at 1475 Market Street, but they haven’t yet completed their remodel and rebranding. [SFoodie]

North Beach: The Vin Club (515 Broadway at Kearny) is going to be opening a walk-up sandwich window, from the Eat Me folks, called Eat Me at the Vin Club. [Tablehopper]

Santa Rosa: Café Azul has closed. [BiteClub]
