150-Year-Old Old Clam House Now Under New Ownership, Has New, Less Deep-Fried Menu

150-year-old Bayview restaurant The Old Clam House — which really is old, operating since 1861, as the awning proclaims — recently came under the ownership of Jerry Dal Bozzo and the group that owns other tourist-friendly digs like The Stinking Rose and The Franciscan. As Tablehopper reports today, remodeling will be ongoing, starting with some fresh paint, and chef Andrea Froncillo is in the process of updating the menu (pdf link) and has already taken off a lot of the fried items. What’s more: They now serve prime rib. [Tablehopper]
