Following on CAV becoming Pause, we have another wine bar switcheroo in the works to report: Parea Wine Bar (795 Valencia) appears to be on its way out after two-plus years serving up inexpensive wines and food that one citizen reviewer called “’Greek’ in really big quotes.” Parea remains open pending the change (we think, for now), but new owner Alexandra Gerteis is moving in soon with what appears to be another, unnamed wine bar concept (it might be called Ways & Wines). More on this as it develops, but we hope she’s got a hook — there being, you know, a lot of wine bars around. [Grub Street]
