Mission: So, it’s not going to be the chef formerly known as Alex Jackson taking over Bissap Baobab (2323 Mission), but the place is changing hands. It will be joining the growing bar empire of Duncan Ley and Ben Bleiman (Tonic, Bullitt, the soon-to-open Rebel). There aren’t too many details just yet, but look for Baobab to shutter around late spring, and the unnamed replacement to open soon after. [Tablehopper]

And remember: Chris Kronner’s last day at Bar Tartine is Valentine’s Day. He still won’t tell us where he’s off to. [SFoodie, Earlier]

Oakland/Piedmont: Popular Oakland salumeria-restaurant Adesso is serving daytime sandwiches! [Tablehopper]

Embarcadero: Paul Einbund, still the beverage director at Frances, has left the employ of The Slanted Door after six months. [Scoop]

Berkeley: After 71 years in business, Blake’s on Telegraph is closed. [Berkeley Daily Planet via Scoop]

Santa Rosa:
