Here are a few more scattered items from around the Bay to round out the week, and please note that we'll be taking Monday off from the news gathering so that we can catch up on our eating. So, see you all Tuesday!
Point Reyes: Pat Kuleto, who purchased and totally refurbished Nick's Cove a few years back only to have Bauer give it an awful review (pubbed online but pulled from the paper), has admitted to investors that the restaurant has been a "complete disaster." He hasn't paid the bank loan on it since August, and the place is now being sold to the Moana group. [Point Reyes Light, Scoop, Earlier]
Castro-Adjacent: As we reported earlier, new gay bar Rebel (1760 Market at Octavia) officially opens on February 28, but on Monday, February 21 resident food purveyors Sneaky's BBQ are hosting a soft-opening party, which is open to the public. Food served 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. [Grub Street]
Civic Center: Jardinière is doing a special dinner on Monday with guest chef John Sundstrom from Lark in Seattle. It's one of their three-course $45 prix fixe deals which includes three wine pairings. Also, rotisserie pork belly is involved. [Grub Street]
