It’s the Last Day to Vote in That F&W People’s Choice Thing

Campaigning just went into high gear for front-runners in the Pacific region in Food & Wine’s People’s Best New Chef poll, with L.A.’s Ricardo Zarate (Mo-Chica) getting out the vote in a big way and NorCal front-runner Brandon Sharp (Solbar) doing the same. As Dana Cowin told us a couple weeks back, you’re only allowed to vote once per IP address (it appears like you can refresh and keep voting, but the messaging tells you your vote has already been counted). Zarate’s in the lead as of this hour, but things could change as the contest winds down by tomorrow, March 1. It’s impossible to tell how many votes are being registered, and therefore whether these guys have a shot at the national title, but it seems unlikely at this point that the remaining candidates with single-digit percentages are going to make up any ground to become contenders.

Below, the contest results as they stand as of Monday afternoon.
