Menlo Park Polish restaurant Bona, which is named after a 14th century Polish queen didntchaknow, makes a mean borscht, says Mandy Erickson. Also, their mushroom soup, tripe soup, and Hunter’s Stew are equally strong, but the goulash was hit or miss in her experience, with the meat a bit chewy one of two times she ordered it.
