Heather Cummings, the young woman behind The San Francisco Bar Experiment (not to be confused with this site, which slowed down last May), who has been chronicling her attempt to visit every bar in the city, has decided to focus her attention on the Tenderloin for a new "photo-heavy," self-published book. She's gone on Kickstarter to make her plea for a little funding, and given our own love for seedy Tenderloin gin joints, we support her. As she puts it, the neighborhood has something for everyone. "There are bars for salty old men, and bars for salty old men who like other salty old men..."
