What to Have for Breakfast at Show Dogs

On weekday mornings this week, Foreign Cinema’s mid-Market sausage shop Show Dogs (1020 Market) started offering breakfast. Appropriately enough, the menu is sausage-focused, with the award for most innovative item going to the “Sunrise Show Dog,” a maple-bacon sausage topped with scrambled eggs mixed with cheddar cheese, piperade, and arugula. We’ll say that while we like the concept of celery root hash browns, the ones we had were a little too greasy and tasted of the griddle. But anyhow, that egg-topped sausage hit the spot, and they serve Four Barrel coffee, so that’s something.
