More Marijuana-Infused ‘Soda Pot’ Is On the Way

Yep, that's the spokesman.
Yep, that’s the spokesman.

Sounds like this is actually happening: A California company says it will introduce a line of THC-spiked marijuana sodas next month. (N.B. This isn’t the first pot-soda to hit the market. You may remember that Village Voice restaurant critic Robert Sietsema previously tried a competitor and came away unimpressed.) The lineup: Canna Cola, Doc Weed, Sour Diesel, Grape Ape, and Orange Kush. According to the Santa Cruz Sentinel, each bottle will have “35 to 65 milligrams” of THC, and will cost $10 to $15 a bottle. The plan is to first sell them at medicinal-marijuana dispensaries in Colorado and expand to California after that. It sounds like there’s a lot of red tape to clear, so we won’t be surprised if that expansion never comes to fruition. But even still. We’re looking forward to reading any FDA warnings that show up on the bottle. [Santa Cruz Sentinel via Time]
