In Another ‘Best Burrito’ Panel, It’s a Draw Between Farolito and Papalote

San Francisco media sure does like to do burrito comparisons, and 7x7 kicks off the year doing a blind taste test of seven carne asado burritos from the usual suspects, throwing Chipotle in there for kicks. We sort of feel like the deck was stacked a bit with only the seven, but the five judges, who included Sunset editor Margo True and chefs Ryan Farr and Matt Accarrino, still didn’t reach a consensus for number one. There were two votes for El Farolito, two for Papalote, and one for El Castillito. It would have been more interesting if they’d invited noted Mission burrito hater Jonathan Gold onto the panel.
