Way back in August we talked about Plate Shop, which was originally slated to open over the summer but got moved and moved again, as these things go. Chef Kim Alter (formerly of Aqua and Ubuntu) is now counting on a mid-January opening around the 14th, but always hard to say and we have a draft menu that should give you an idea of what her food will be like. We're most looking forward to the puerco misto (bacon, ears and skin with pig aioli); the celery root soup with whipped lardo; and the whole chicken served with liver mousse, Jameson gelée, crepinette, wing, and caramelized onion jus. Never before did winter sound so good.
