David Kinch Plays With Truffles

Saturday night marked the Napa Truffle Festival’s Michelin Star Truffle dinner at La Toque, and guest celebrity chefs David Kinch, Nancy Oakes, Gabriel Kreuther of The Modern in NYC, and several others joined executive chef Ken Frank to prepare dishes for a $330-per-person dinner. Thankfully for those of us who missed it, Stark Insider captured some back-of-the-house action, and grabbed a few words with Kinch about his lobster salad and truffle dish, and why he loves black truffles so much — namely their “amazing, earthy, sensual smell.”
