Buffet at The Cosmopolitan in Vegas Gets Rave Review

We don’t come across a lot of reviews of buffets, be they in casinos or otherwise. But a writer at the East Bay Express was moved to write such a review of the Wicked Spoon buffet at Las Vegas’s much hyped new casino-hotel, The Cosmopolitan. This buffet so rocked her world she says it “redefines the very notion of buffets.” Dim Sum? Check. Elaborate salads? Check. Ethnic “exotica”? Check. Also, this buffet boasts a pastry chef, and many artisanal desserts including “actual silvered eggshells filled with faux eggs fashioned of mango and coconut cream.” The hotel’s actually got a decent restaurant collection, including two from José Andrés, and outposts of Blue Ribbon Sushi, Comme Ça, and Scarpetta. But no. We get a review of the buffet. [East Bay Express]
