Jeffrey Saad Launches Cooking Channel Show, May Open S.F. Restaurant Next Year

Jeffrey Saad, who once owned three locations of Sweet Heat restaurants in S.F., is starring in the new Cooking Channel series The United Tastes of America, premiering this evening at 6:30 PT. Eater spoke with Saad about the show, about his return to San Francisco and his role as consulting chef for The Grove restaurants, and about his plans to open his own restaurant here, possibly by next spring. All he’ll say is, “My wife and I have a few different ideas.” But also, he can’t get enough of the meatballs from Pizzeria Delfina in Pacific Heights. [Eater]
