The next-door casual cousin to Quince, Cotogna (490 Pacific), in the former Myth Café space, is now scheduled to open on Monday, November 8. There'll be a rustic menu of pizzas, pastas, salads, fish, and rotisserie meats on chef Michael Tusk's new prized possession: a Universo wood-fired grill/rotisserie just like one he saw in a little restaurant in Florence. The kitchen at Cotogna will be led by Chez Panisse alum Ryan Childs, and the wine list by wine director David Lynch will be prix fixe, with a few selections by the glass, but all bottles an even $40 to encourage diners to try some Northern Italian wines they may be unfamiliar with, without concern for price. We're still waiting on the opening food menu, but for now, take a look at our slideshow. Update: Here's the menu.
