We showed you the interior, and now it's time to pour over the menu at Plum, Daniel Patterson's casual new restaurant in Oakland. Vegetarians (and even vegans) should be thrilled, because the menu's weighted heavily in the direction of inventive and original vegetable options, including "chicharrones" made from potato; artichokes with fresh cheese and green olive romesco; and braised cauliflower with almond and dandelion salsa verde. For the carnivores, there's a pork trotter burger(!); a lamb stew with sunchokes; and seared squid with kohlrabi, mustard greens, and porridge. Here is the full and finalized menu for your perusal, and click through to behold the food porn.
Plum - 2214 Broadway, Oakland - 510.444.7586 - Open daily 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. - Reservations here
