Trusty photographer Brian Smeets took one for the team and hit up some of last week's Cocktail Week events in San Francisco. The week kicked off with the dedication of the Boothby Center for the Beverage Arts -- a new non-profit and mixologists' clubhouse of sorts at 1161 Mission -- and the annual farmers' market cocktail event at the Ferry Building co-sponsored by CUESA. The fun concluded last night at the Chartreuse Karaoke Gong Show at the Ambassador (673 Geary) "[where] bartenders and civilians alike [showed] off their pipes and brave[d] the gong’s shame... emboldened by $6 Chartreuse cocktails." No photos have yet arrived from that particular shitshow, but it's early yet... we will add some if they do. Below, our slideshow.
