Patricia Unterman files the first review of cocktail-focused Bar Agricole, less than a month since the place opened its doors, and she admits she’s not a big a cocktail person from the get-go. “As an admitted foodophile [sic], I always drink wine, not cocktails, because food — at least in wine- producing countries — and wine are made for each other.” But she’s won over not only by the lovely stemware, but by the combinations created between Thad Vogler’s locavore cocktails and Brandon Jew’s food, writing, “Though the brief bill of fare is written like a bar menu, the execution turns the dishes into little masterpieces just like the cocktails.” She loves the squash fritters, calls the tomato salad “one of the [town’s] best,” and says the salt-baked sea bass is “one of the finest little fish dishes in town.” [Examiner, Earlier Slideshow]
