Patricia Unterman files the first review of Citizen’s Band, one of the quieter openings this summer which has nonetheless been drawing consistent crowds at the corner of 8th and Folsom. She hones in on the “old-school comfort” of the fresh baked goods from next door partner Pinkie’s Bakery, calling out the “perfect” peach and berry cobbler and the key lime pie. But she also is a fan of most of the savory menu, especially the Cobb salad, the fried chicken, and calling chef Chris Beerman’s gourmet version of frank and beans “an Italian ragout of impeccable pedigree.” [Examiner, Earlier Slideshow]
