After just a year in the executive chef role, Jennie Lorenzo is leaving Fifth Floor. Her last meal there will be Saturday night, September 4, and she tells Grub Street that this will be the last chance for diners to sample her food for the rest of the year, suggesting she has no immediate plans to take another job.

Lorenzo first worked at Fifth Floor under Laurant Gras, and her resume also includes stints with Gordon Ramsay, La Folie chef Roland Passot, and at Michelin two-starred Tokyo restaurant Ryugin. At Fifth Floor, she’s become known for her modern, extremely colorful and composed dishes that combine Mediterranean, French, and Asian influences.

There’s no word yet from the Fifth Floor camp on Jennie’s replacement, but we’ll update you as soon as we know.
