Chile Lindo Owner Gets Very Emotional at Press Conference

Embattled empanada purveyor Paula Tejada, who staged a press conference and protest on Thursday over the forced closure of her Mission shop Chile Lindo over an ADA lawsuit, kind of lost it a little while speaking to a small gathering outside the 24th Street BART station. “It’s horrific! Horrific! That in the United States of America, in 2010, that [this is happening to small businesses.]” As the Weekly reports, she put out a call for pro bono lawyers to fight the attorney who brought the case, Tom Frankovich, whom Tejada calls “corrupt.”
