The town waits with bated breath for what several journalists have deemed the "most highly anticipated opening of the year": Benu (22 Hawthorne Lane), the new venture from French Laundry and Per Se alum Corey Lee, opening August 10. The restaurant is housed in a high-ceilinged, small, museum-like space behind what used to be Hawthorne Lane and TWO, and designer Richard Bloch has created an atmosphere of modern elegance that will likely fit well with Chef Lee's food. See our complete slideshow, and be prepared to wait a bit before you get a reservation. Also, take a look at the tasting menu, a la carte menu, and dessert menu, all of which are subject to change before opening.
