Healdsburg Possibly to Get Two New Restaurants

Earlier today we spotted a blind item on Bite Club Eats about a recently shuttered restaurant in downtown Healdsburg being eyed by several “major players.” The Scoop brings word that the space is the former Cena Luna (241 Healdsburg Avenue), and one of the players is Douglas Keane, chef at Cyrus, who has almost inked a deal for a steakhouse concept on which he’ll be partnering with his wife and his brother, an attorney in S.F. He feels like good steaks have been hard to come by up there, and “The wines call for it. It’s just a natural match.” Clearly it won’t be called Cyrus Steakhouse, but you get the point.

Also, speaking of steaks, the former Western Boot Steak House (9 Mitchell Lane) is closed and up for grabs, and a source in Healdsburg tells Grub Street that there’s a plan to put a new restaurant in there as well.
