Luce chef, one-time Obama feeder, and all around bold character Dominique Crenn will be appearing on Iron Chef America on August 8, battling Michael Symon in Kitchen Stadium, and we gather Luce will be closed that night in honor of the occasion. Also of note: Crenn is doing special, ingredient-focused tasting menus all summer, with various figs on plates starring in July, tomatoes in August, and corn in September. [Grub Street]
