SoMa: Citizens Band (Folsom & 8th), the new restaurant from Chris Beerman (formerly of Conduit and Boulevard) in the former Ideal Deli and billed as a “tribute to American classics,” will open on July 14, with a full dinner menu and sweets from Pinkie’s next door. The aim is to do lunch and brunch starting sometime in August. [Grub Street, Earlier]
Also in SoMa, Radius (1123 Folsom), the full service restaurant from chef Kelly Hughett that’s been delayed a few months while the café chugs along next door, is hoping to serve its first dinners a bit later this summer, pending some flatware deliveries and other details. [Grub Street]
Cow Hollow: Unwind on Union (1875 Union), in the former Pasta Pomodoro space, is now open. No word on whether the Food Network cameras are still there. [Tablehopper]

Pacific Heights: The Baker & Banker bakery and sandwich shop, around the corner and in the same building as the restaurant, is now aiming for an August 1 opening. [Scoop]
FiDi: And in more bartender-turning-brand-ambassador news, Erick Castro is leaving his post at Rickhouse to become a brand ambassador for Plymouth and Beefeater gins. This announcement comes just days after he sent us Rickhouse’s summer menu. (Also, Jackie Patterson is soon to leave the bar at Heaven’s Dog to work for Solerno and Lillet.) [Alcademics]
Castro: Tonight marks the first of Starbelly’s Tuesday summer picnics, with everything served family-style on the back patio and a $25 prix fixe. It seems like a pretty good deal, with menus changing each week. Tonight’s features Santa Maria-style grilled tri-tip. [SFoodie, menus here]
Sunset: Tonight also marks the first Dusseldorf Night at Social Kitchen and Brewery, with $3 glasses of beer, free appetizers from 6 to 7 p.m., and plenty of pretzels. [Eater]
Mission: Grand Coffee has just swung open its doors at 2663 Mission between 22nd and 23rd, in what was formerly the Grand Theater’s concession stand. [Uptown Almanac]
South Park: American Grilled Cheese Kitchen has debuted their breakfast menu on Saturdays, and already have some kind of “secret menu” developing among loyal customers. [Eater]
Yerba Buena: The vegan bakers at Wholesome Bakery today launch a month-long residency at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, alongside Ritual Coffee, that has something to do with sustainability. [Grub Street]
SoMa Extra: The Lamb Takedown is looking for chef competitors. Tickets for the public aren’t yet available, but the whole thing goes down starting at noon on August 8 at Thirsty Bear Brewing Co. This follows quickly on the heels of the American Lamb Jam which happens on July 18. [Grub Street]
