The Stow Lake Boathouse in Golden Gate Park is set to become a full-fledged concession stand, with food from Fish & Farm alums Chad Newton and Frank Klein. As previously reported, the two are simultaneously working to launch Parcel BBQ and American Box, neither of which has a location announced, and as the Scoop reports the Stow Lake Boathouse location will feature a simple, Shake Shack-inspired menu of burgers and hot dogs, with an S.F. twist (think local bacon and Point Reyes blue cheese on a burger). This is all still a ways off, though: they’re aiming for a mid-winter opening, if all goes well. Also, there will be swan boats, and the pink popcorn and animal crackers aren’t going anywhere.
