Longtime tenant of mid-Market Bistro Clovis, just a couple blocks down from Zuni Café, has given up the ghost, as Tasting Table reports in their newsletter. The old-school bistro was light on frills and heavy on the cream, and had certainly been less than busy in recent years the only time we ate there was once when we couldn't get a table at Zuni. As a eulogy of sorts, the Scoop looks back at this 1990 Chron review from Stan Stesser, which notes in particular the sweetbreads in red vinegar butter.
