What to Eat at Hog & Rocks, Opening on Sunday

Mission hipsters and yuppies alike have been on high alert about the impending debut of Hog & Rocks (19th near Valencia), the new ham-, oyster-, and-booze-themed bar from Maverick chef Scott Youkilis and Tres Agaves bar guy Eric Rubin. The place opens on Sunday, July 4, just in time for a steady stream of Dolores Park fireworks watchers to descend. The concept, besides ham (hogs) and oysters (rocks), is comfort food and comfort drinks, including the original recipe Hurricane from New Orleans bar Pat O’Brien’s (Coruba rum, lemon, passion fruit syrup).

See the ham and oyster offerings below, with more menus to follow. Update: Scroll down for the full menu. See the cocktail menu here.
