Tyler Florence, who went from cooking in someone else's kitchen to becoming a Food Network star, is poised to launch his Bay Area restaurant empire, beginning with Wayfare Tavern in the storied Rubicon space (558 Sacramento). Florence's concept, as Grub Street discussed with him in March, is to bring Old San Francisco to life in a new way, with fresh takes on century-old dishes and a space that feels like it's been there for a long time.
The renovations are complete, they're really pretty stunning, and the restaurant's set to open by the end of June, with a firm date TBA. See the full dinner menu here, and below, check out our slideshow of the interior.
