The iPads have arrived at Barbacco, and thanks to a new app developed especially for restaurants, their entire wine cellar is now available to peruse in living, interactive, touch-screen Technicolor. As the Scoop reports, the system is called SmartCellar, and it was developed by a “transaction services” company called Incentient. We’re sure it’s the first of many such intrusions of tablet-web-enabled technology to enter our daily lives, and at least for now, we’re cautiously excited. Wouldn’t you rather browse a wine list like that, than like this?
