Mission: Pica Pica Maize Kitchen, which started in Napa and is expanding into the former Mi Lindo Yucatan space at 15th and Valencia, is set for a Friday Saturday opening, pending one last inspection. (We’ll be sharing the menu shortly.) [Grub Street]
Potrero Hill: Papito (317 Connecticut Street), the new taqueria from Jocelyn Bulow and Maktub Group, had been aiming for a debut this week, but remains papered over. [Grub Street]

Cow Hollow: American Cupcake (1919 Union) has opened, and, yeah, it’s not just cupcakes. There’s a savory menu from Carina Lampkin (formerly of Bar Crudo and Absinthe) with a soda fountain/BBQ theme. [Tablehopper]
FiDi: Fleur de Sel, a new “Frenchie gourmet deli” has opened at 308 Kearny featuring prepared meals available for eat-in or takeout from chef Stephane Gregoire, formerly of Chapeau! [Tablehopper]
