According to author Kim Severson — whose previously noted new book Spoon Fed profiles several influential women in the food world— San Franciscans needs to get over our inferiority complex and be more confident in who we are. “Everyone who cares about food wants to go to eat in San Francisco,” she reassures SF Weekly, adding that we “should stop worrying about what everyone thinks of [us.]” She also likens us to the gorgeous younger sibling to New York’s “put upon older sister.” Does that mean David Chang really wants to date us but he’s too afraid to ask?
